Species caught were, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Ladyfish, Whiting, Bonita, Red Drum, Pompano, Hardtails, Yellowtail Jacks, Alewives and Cigar minnows.

A few King Mackerel were caught during the week but all but one were small. Carlos S.

Decked a nice 17-pound 6-ounce King Friday. He was casting a Sniper lure. Tuesday morning there were 5-6 small Kings caught and this morning at daylight one was decked. We did see six more this afternoon but after circling our bait, they swam off without a sniff.

There were good catches of Spanish Mackerel. Early mornings and late afternoon seemed to be the best time to target them. Today they began chewing in the mid-afternoon. There were numerous fish caught in the 3–4-pound range. Both live bait and lures were productive. Here’s Larry, George and Bill with a few that they decked.

Shallow water produced a number of both slot and over-slot Red Drum this week. Multiple fish were caught some days. A small live Alewife freelined or fished on a Carolina rig got their attention. Here is a few that were decked by Noah, Johnnie, Chuck, Carlos, Billy and Garrett.
